The Havaleena light was created by siblings Teo and Monica Berndt, a design team from Tayo Design Studio. They were conceived out the need for portable illumination in locations without electrical wiring, such as table tops, mantles, patios, or other indoor or outdoor settings.

Elegant and versatile, Havaleenas have been used to grace a dinner table, add sparkle to a living room or create the perfect mood at a party.

The lit section of the rod is made of a clear acrylic cylinder fitted with a special vellum –a color diffuser or filter. Each light comes with four color filters (white, orange, lime green and violet) that can be easily changed to match the occasion or the decor.  Filters can also be easily customized to include personalized messages, an image, or names to mark special events, from a wedding to a bar mitzvah.

Havaleenas are versatile and flexible — since they are battery powered, they can be used anywhere without having to be plugged in.

Havaleena is a cordless LED light by architectural design firm Tayo Design Studio of Los Angeles, California.
